Why Did the FBI Visit The Koran-Burning Pastor?

I've avoided blogging about Terry Jones — the Florida pastor with fewer congregants than Jay-Z's entourage — because I didn't want to contribute to the MSM sin of making this nutjob an international "sensation" for his plan to burn Korans on September 11. But there is an angle to this story that is worthy of comment.…

CNBC's Rick Santelli Goes Ballistic Again, Yelling: 'STOP SPENDING! STOP SPENDING!'

As an elixir to the Keynesian valentine Paul Krugman wrote Monday morning (and highlighted by the helpful Mr. Bailey), check out this video by the irrepressible Rick Santelli — the Patrick Henry of the modern Tea Party movement.

Santelli walks off (because he has a day job on the floor of the Chicago exchange).…

Obama Votes 'Present' on Arizona Boycott

That was some press conference by Obama today. The president once again showed that the thrill is gone when he's off the prompter — which is why this was Obama's first press conference since July 2009 when he shoved his loafers into his mouth by saying the cops "acted stupidly" in arresting his obnoxious, race-baiting, disturbing-the-peace friend, Skip Gates.

It's hard picking the best (or worst) "off the prompter" moment from Thursday. It was pretty bad that…

Fun with PhotoShop, Obama and the Gulf oil spill

My buddy ExJon at the Exurban League (a fine blog I highly recommend for regular reading) is a master of PhotoShop humor. For instance, Jon is the creative force behind this widely circulated Obama as Neville Chamberlain piece of art.

And he's come up with…

Obama's Personality Revealed in Meeting with GOP

President Obama met with GOP senators Tuesday on Capitol Hill. And the meeting was ... well, interesting. Daniel Foster at The Corner gives a good rundown, with updated links, on how the Republican senators pretty much read Obama the riot act. I credit Obama for showing up, knowing he'd… Continue

Opposition to Obama's Agenda 'Almost at the Level of Sedition'

Massachusetts Gov. Deval Patrick is not a fan of those who are not fans of Obama's desire to "fundamentally transform" America in a hard left direction. In fact, Patrick considers it "almost" a high crime against the country. From The Boston Globe:…

Obama Advisor Says Government Must Control Internet Content

Cass Sunstein, a long-time Obama legal advisor and a man considered to be continually on the president's short list for U.S. Supreme Court nominations, gave a pretty chilling interview to WBEZ radio in February 2001.

It would be ideal, he said, if bloggers routinely linked to those who hold opposing views. But, if that isn't done as a matter of course, it would be prudent for the government to require it. Granted, this was a while ago, but Obama's recent commencement speech…
